Newbury Street

My springtime jacket, Newbury Street, can be found in the pages of Creative Knitting Magazine May 2011 issue.

Lace and Cables start from the top and work their way down to create lacy sleeves and a lace panel down the center back. Simple cables and twisted stitches are worked to give the jacket overall sophistication.

More complex cables are worked at both front edges with novelty yarn added. The same novelty yarn is used for a coordinating scarf that is worked in the same lace pattern. The scarf also has ends that are crocheted with beads.

The main yarn used in this project is DK Rich Cotton, by Cascade Yarns. This yarn is so fabulous you will want to knit a project in every color!

Grab a copy of the magazine today to get started.

At a later date this pattern will be available on my website.

Happy Knitting,

Nancy
